Why study in Brazil?
Brazil is located in South America and is the 6th largest country in the world. It has a population of nearly 200 million inhabitants. It is rich in natural resources and a highly industrialized country. In 2005, it held the 39th position among the countries with better quality of life of the planet.
Currently, it is the seventh largest economy in the world in purchasing power parity and the largest economy in Latin America. It is expected that in 2016 it will be among the 5 first economies in the world. Brazil exerts today strong international influence, in regional and global in scope.
It has between 15 and 20% of all global biodiversity. It has 17 cultural and natural sites designated by the Unesco World Heritage and one of the wonders of the modern world: Christ, the Redeemer. It attracts, on average, about five million foreign tourists a year.
Brazilian people are joyful, festive, hardworking and mixed (indigenous, European, Asian and African roots). The large number of ethnicities generates a social environment in which people absorbs pluralism, respect and tolerance for differences.
